Utah Winchester 30-30 Commoratives

Utah Winchester 30-30 Commoratives

Below are two beautiful guns. They are to celebrate 100 years of Statehood for Utah. Utah was inducted in to the Union in 1896. These guns are the Winchester model 94 30-30 Utah Centennial Commorative edition. Both guns have “Utah” engraved on one side the receiver with the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints temple engraved on the other side. All the exterior metal parts of the top gun is made of brass. All the exterior metal parts on the bottom gun have been inlayed with 24kt. gold. One of these gun is #9 of 500 made and the other is #9 of 100 guns made. They are considered a set and are #9 of the first 100 guns made in this commorative series.

There is also a pistol that goes with this set. We are still looking for the pistol. Hopefully someday we will be able to add the pistol to this collection.

The workmanship and artistic talent that has gone into these guns is amazing. They are truly beautiful guns. I would really like to carve a gunstock with this art work on it. Carving custom gunstocks is a real joyin my life. I hope everyone enjoys these guns as much as we do. Thanks for visiting my web site.

Gun regulations are becoming tighter and tighter. Do we allow the government to regulate our gun laws in each state? Are we allowing ourselves to be take over our country even more by the government? Please read this and let your congressmen know how you stand on this issue. If we do not stand up for our rights. Utah has become the third state to adopt a law exempting guns and ammunition made, sold and used in the state from massive federal regulations under the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and supporters say about 30 more states have some sort of plan for their own exemptions in the works.
Officials in Utah say they expect a lawsuit over their direct challenge to Washington if the federal government succeeds in its current case against Montana’s law.
Gary Marbut of the Montana Shooting Sports Association, who has spearheaded the Montana law, now describes himself as a sort of “godfather” to the national campaign. He confirmed Montana, Tennessee and Utah have enacted such laws.
“Wyoming and South Dakota, they have passed legislation and it’s on their governors’ desks,” he said. “We learned today Oklahoma’s House has passed a plan over to the Senate. Idaho’s House has just passed it along. Alaska’s has passed the House and is in the Senate Judiciary committee,” he said. Read the rest of this entry »
